SUGARCANE JUICE PAPAYA SMOOTHIE BOWL

We love making smoothie bowls. Such healthy bowls of goodness! Here's another smoothie bowl recipe that we love to make. For this one, we use frozen papaya. There's a little bit of prep involved before making this smoothie bowl but it's worth it!. Recipe below, enjoy and check back for more recipes!

Do this first

  • Buy 1 whole papaya from your local fruit market
  • Slice up papaya into small cubes
  • Place cubes in a zip lock bag or ice cube tray and place in the freezer
  • Allow papaya to freeze

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle Sugarcane Island Raw sugarcane juice

  • 7 - 8 frozen papaya cubes

  • 2 tbsp granola (try to avoid granola with too much processed sugar)

  • 1 or 2 bananas

  • 1 cup strawberries

  • 1 cup blueberries

Directions

  • Thaw out papaya cubes semi-frozen under warm water. Do this by placing the cubes in a zip loc bag first before running under warm water. You don't want to that it out all the way. It just needs to be thawed a bit so it's not too difficult for the blender
  • Put the two semi frozen papaya cubes in the blender and add about 1 - 2oz of raw sugarcane juice
  • Add 1 banana (if you are using 2) or half a banana (if you are using 1)
  • Blend. You should now have a nice blend of all the above
  • Grab a bowl and add 1 tbsp granola
  • Pour the blended papaya sugarcane in the bowl on top of the granola
  • Cut the other half or whole banana on the top
  • Add your strawberries and blueberries. Top with 1 more tbsp granola
  • All set! Dig in and drink the rest of your sugarcane juice as you enjoy your delicious smoothie bowl
